Potential shooters need mental health resources.

They don’t have them right now.

We have a clear, tangible, and attainable mental health approach.

We’re going to use proven SEO best practices to put mental health resources in front of at-risk individuals and stage online interventions.

Our approach is apolitical and non-legislative; it sidesteps the messy policy debates that have turned pain into campaigns for years.

Here’s how we’ll do it.

  1. Create Search Engine Optimized websites.

When someone is searching for information about how to commit mass murder, we want them to find our voice of reason.

We’re creating an array of online tools designed to speak directly to potential perpetrators before they act. When they research violent search terms, we’ll show up in the top search engine results.

We know the topics they typically search for. So we know what we need to write about.

We’ve brought on experts in trauma and psychology to make sure the way we come across will actually resonate with people struggling with violent thoughts.

The website will have every resource available to help redirect people away from violence. These resources will include science-backed meditative techniques to help the mind calm; articles addressing core fears like shame, anxiety, and powerlessness; and truths about race, gender, relationships, and self-worth. We’ll provide practical ways to connect to mental health therapists and other resources for help.

We’re going to meet potential shooters at the place of their fear and anger with a message of hope and recovery.

2. Create content and support.

We’re going to create compelling content.

We’re going to create social medial groups for people who are struggling with violent impulses and connect with already existing groups.

We’re going to reach out to health care and trauma-trained professionals to seek their availability in these groups to give the expert support these individuals need.

We’ll also use our web presence to saturate the online environment with articles and resources that focus on redirecting and calming anger and fear — the truths that a potential mass shooter needs to hear.

We’re going to facilitate online de-radicalization.

3. Grow reach.

Websites and social platforms are only the beginning. Much more can be leveraged to reach potential shooters.

Google and social ads are increasingly powerful tools that can be used to target the exact demographic that needs us. We can run ads designed to intercept people who are struggling with intense feelings of anger and powerlessness and redirect them to our website.

We want to work with the media and other organizations and get them to join us in our mission.

There’s also potential to reach out proactively to this demographic in the online chat rooms they frequent. Certain Reddit groups and the dark web (4chan in particular) can be strategically accessed to intercept these individuals.

Let’s save lives together.

Join us to make the hope of online intervention and de-radicalization a reality.
